Since I’m somehow missing the sound of singing birds here in the city, I decided to sew a Victorian Walking Skirt with a bunch of pretty birds on it. I used sewing techniques, which were appropriate for the time, but still incorporated modern techniques concerning pattern development. The pattern is from the book “Authentic Victorian Fashion Patterns”.
