Kindness in Islam
In Islam, kindness is highly valued and emphasized as a fundamental aspect of one's character and behavior. And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakah.' Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you were refusing."
2. **Kindness to Parents**: Islam stresses the significance of being kind and respectful towards parents. The Quran repeatedly emphasizes the duty of kindness and obedience to parents. In Surah Al-Isra (17:23), Allah says: "And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], 'uff,' and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word."
3. **Kindness to Neighbors**: The Prophet Muhammad emphasized the importance of being kind to neighbors, regardless of their faith. He said, "Jibril (Gabriel) kept advising me to be kind to my neighbor until I thought he would make him my heir" (Sahih Bukhari).
4. **Kindness to Animals**: Islam teaches kindness and mercy towards animals. The Prophet Muhammad emphasized the importance of treating animals with compassion and not causing them harm. He said, "Whoever is kind to the creatures of God, he is kind to himself" (Sahih Bukhari).
