Blockbusters | John Hatton vs. Margie & Nancy
On this 1982 episode of Blockbusters with Bill Cullen, the family pair champions of Margie and Nancy are back with a perfect $54,000. But their 10th game, they are meeting a formidable returning solo player champion, John Hatton. John was a previous champion when the limit at the time was 10 games, and he went the distance for $60,000 until being forced to retire. Since the show's limit had been upped to 20, he has returned and at this point, he has picked up where he has left off. It's the first game of the match, and John has two red hexagon captures while Margie and Nancy have yet to get on the board. Can Margie and Nancy prove they are still eligible to be champions and go back to the Gold Run, or will John successfully pick up where he left off and go back to the Gold Run himself to add on to the $60,000 he previously won?
