History
The festival was first celebrated in 2014. It takes place over multiple days, starting on November 30, the feast day of Saint Andrew the Apostle, and ending on December 1, the feast day of Our Lady of Light and the town's founding anniversary.
Name
The name SumBingTik is a combination of the words suman, bibingka, and latik, which are all delicacies made from glutinous rice and coconut.
Events
The festival includes a variety of events, such as a color run, a bike ride, a youth dance, a street dance competition, a serenade, and a grand float parade. The highlight of the festival is the SumBingTik House Decoration, where houses in Barangay Sto. Niño are decorated with the town's delicacies and large SumBingTik props are displayed on the streets.
