What types of machining can a metallic material undergo?

Machining can be performed with or without chip removal.
They are further divided into foundry (or casting) processes and plastic (or plastic) deformation processes.

Castings are obtained from foundry processes (pouring the material into a predetermined shape).
Foundry processes exploit the fusibility and castability properties of materials. The pieces obtained through this process are called castings.
The fundamental phases of foundry processes are: model construction, preparation of the molds (forming), melting of the material, pouring (introduction of the molten material into the mold), cooling, solidification, and extraction of the casting (forming).

Plastic machining is a deformation process under the action of external forces. These forces cause permanent, non-plastic deformations. These processes exploit the property of metallic materials to undergo permanent deformation in the solid state under the action of external forces. These processes are applicable to materials with a good degree of plasticity and are not applicable to hard and brittle materials.
Plastic processes can be performed both hot (when the material temperature is above two-thirds of the melting temperature) and cold (when the material temperature is below two-thirds of the melting temperature).
The fundamental plastic processes are: rolling, forging, stamping, extrusion, deep drawing, and wire drawing.

Rolling: Obtaining sheet metal from ingots or blocks. This process can be performed either hot or cold, in one or more passes. It consists of passing a block of malleable material between two counter-rotating rollers. These rollers are called stands, and the succession of stands is called the rolling mill. The complete rolling mill is called a rolling mill (or rolling mill).

Roughing (rough processing of the workpiece, which is passed between two rollers) Heating Finishing roller.

In forging, the workpiece is stressed using presses. The materials (steel and aluminum) must deform at temperatures below 1000°C. This process is mainly performed on large, rough workpieces.

PRODUCTION PROCESS: The workpiece is heated. The workpiece is placed under the machine. The dimensions are selected under the machine.

In stamping, the finished product is obtained by compressing the starting material inside a mold, whose shape and dimensions correspond to those of the finished workpiece.
