Video series on configuring CPLDs and FPGAs using open-source software tools.
All videos are developed using an AliExpress board based on the EMP240T100C5 CPLD, except for the Xilinx videos, where we use the Numato Elbert V2. However, everything presented here can be applied to almost any CPLD or FPGA.
In this video series, we learn to use Quartus and Logisim Evolution software to configure CPLDs and FPGAs. We also learn to convert VHDL into blocks that can be used by Quartus and Logisim to create hardware implementations and perform simulations.
We also learn to use not only VHDL found in books or online but also to generate our own code from Digital or Logisim Evolution schematics.
We also cover how to install and configure more complex details such as routing and other aspects to ensure these software programs function correctly.

Quartus (I recommend version 20.1, which includes Modelsim/Questa)
USB Blaster drivers (the ones that come with Quartus sometimes cause problems)
