Diamagnetism is a property of all matter. That means that all substances responds to the presence of an external magnetic field with a repelling force. This force is very weak and it is described by Lenz's law. For the experiment we used pyrolytic carbon. Pyrolytic carbon responds with the observable repelling force in the presence of an external magnetic field. Video shows how you can use the pyrolytic carbon to levitate magnet cube. Water is also diamagnetic. Will man ever levitate?
