Match Oracle by Akvelon
Predicting a football match isn’t easy in most cases. However, combining sports with modern tech and applying machine learning technologies enhances the accuracy of match results and predictions.
We are excited to share Match Oracle - one of the many exciting internal projects developed by Akvelon’s engineers for our annual employee competition, Hakvelon 2022. The app uses AI with football game predictions and takes it to the next level.
How does Match Oracle work?
The prediction model analyzes previous championships’ data and the results of national team games from recent FIFA matches. After that, it uses a machine learning method called “gradient boosting” to determine the probability of certain outcomes of the overall result of games and makes predictions based on this.
This project was initially created for educational purposes only, but it is now extremely popular among Akvelon employees for its prediction accuracy.
