Women in Dentistry: Celebrating Impact!
It has been 130 years since the first woman in Canada became a licensed dentist. Despite the strides women have made in the field, discrimination still exists. Women are represented far less frequently as dentistry professors, continuing education speakers, and in leadership roles — and are less likely to receive tenure. Female dentists also typically earn a significantly lower income.
However, this webinar is here to change the rhetoric—it’s an opportunity to celebrate women’s accomplishments in Dentistry, and to highlight some of the trailblazers in U of T’s Dentistry community that have made positive changes along the way.
