WATCH THIS if you are about to ENTER the UNIVERSITY
The average university student spends about 768 days in school. That is every Monday - Friday for 4 years. ( All things being equal) and about 672 days at home including weekends and vacations. In hours,the average student spends about 6,144 hours in class ( assuming you are in class for 8hrs a day ie. 9-5, but we both know that's hardly true.) The average student spends about 10,752 hours outside of school and if you have heard about the 10,000 hour rule by Malcolm Gladwel then you enough time on your hands to become an expert in any given field by the time you are done with Uni (aside your degree program).
The idea of 10,000 hours of deliberate practice has its flaws. However, I do believe that with all the hours you have on your hands outside of school, you have to decide how to use them productively. Take a step a closer to becoming the person you wanna be. Make good use of your time.
