Cubase 13 Performance/Stability Issues + DAW Comparison
I just upgraded to Cubase 13. I have to say that I am very disappointed that they have no improved the performance of stability at all over previous versions.
It has really needed a lot of optimization when it comes to low latency performance, for several versions now.
In this video I compare the performance of the same EastWest Opus Orchestrator preset, playing at 128 samples, at a 48Khz sample buffer in Cubase 13, Studio One 5.5, Logic Pro, and the stand-alone Opus sample player.
Only Cubase is suffering from performance and stability issues. The system is a brand new M1 Max Mac Studio. The same performance issues are present my old Intel Mac system, as well as a Win11 install.
