Hiking the length of Vancouver Island (Episode 2)
Hiking 113 km (70 miles) of the Vancouver Island Trail from the town of Port Hardy to the town of Woss. The hike starts along the beautiful coast with an abundance of wildlife. We see so many bears we end up losing count and the salmon were jumping everywhere!
Once the trail turns us inland we hike along or near numerous lakes, walk an old railway line and cross several trestle bridges. These four days of hiking are actually quite exciting! We even walk past the world's largest burl!
