Parasitized Fairy Shrimp
This fairy shrimp appeared to have some sort of parasite living in its egg pouch when we found it. Its the dark pulsating mass in the transparent egg pouch, with the clusters of fairy shrimp eggs visible on each side.
Species is vernal pool fairy shrimp (Branchinecta lynchi).
