Elvis Presley - Red Hot In Richmond (1972) Remastered
I'm not sure why every recording I've ever heard of this concert is muddy and has no high end in it because it's clearly there. It didn't take a whole lot of work to bring it out, so I'm lost as to why it always sounded the way it did, but this has become my favorite concert of 1972. I simply threw it up in Steinberg's WaveLab 9.5, did some EQ and added a slight delay to give it more of a 'live' feel and it's one of the best sounding concerts out there, in my opinion. It's also unique in that at the end of "Can't Help Falling In Love", Elvis goes to a C4 and then an A5 in full voice, no falsetto, which is pretty hard for a male to do but shows his great vocal range. It's the only time I've ever heard him do it that way and he never did it again.
