The 14th edition of Circulation(s) the festival for young European photography - has opened in Paris. WhiteWall is for the third time in a row a supporting partner and produced the work of ukrainian artists.

A springboard for artists and a revelation of trends, Circulation(s) is the place and the reflection of Europe's contemporary artistic ebullition, and the essential meeting place for tomorrow's photography. The Circulation(s) festival focuses on a particular emerging European photographic scene. For this 14th edition, the invitation is extended to Ukraine, with the presentation of series by four artists from this territory. As a photo laboratory, WhiteWall is delighted to support the festival for the third year running, and to produce all the works by the Ukrainian artists.

As part of this focus, Circulation(s) presents series by four young Ukrainian artists. Each of these works is imbued with the experience of the Russian invasion in 2022 and the war that followed. Maryna Brodovska, who had to hide for several days at the start of the conflict, recounts the refuge she found deep inside herself during this experience. Lisa Bukreyeva collects and reworks images of everyday Ukrainian life to combat invisibility and oblivion. Yevheniia Laptii stages a dystopian tale that sadly became reality with the arrival of Russian tanks. Finally, Dima Tolkachov explores the consequences and indirect symptoms of war through visual metaphors.
