Welcome to the very quick mini guide to Milk. 🥰 There are so many types of milk to choose from.🥛 It is pretty overwhelming, isn’t it?! What are the main differences and which one is the right choice for you?👀
🌱Almond Milk:
Almond milk is very neutral and slightly thinner than other milks.
High in Vitamin E but lower in protein and carbohydrates compared to other plant-based milks.
The downside is that almonds take a lot of water to grow, so the environmental impact is quite high.
🌱Oat Milk
Only been around since the 1990s.
It's full of fibre.
Oats go well in a lot of different environments.
It is also a popular choice for coffee drinkers.
🌱Soy Milk
Soy milk has been around since the 14th century in China. It’s the first step in making Tofu cheese.
Soy milk resembles dairy milk. It is high in protein and has most of the essential amino acids.
Some ethnic groups need to be careful about consuming too much soy which should be researched before you switch to this type of milk.
🌱Rice Milk
Great for people who have a gluten sensitivity.
You can make rice milk out of any type of rice.
🌱Coconut Milk
The coconut milk made at home with Milky Plant is much tastier and has a more complex flavour than store-bought milk.
There are no additives.
The only thing to watch out for is the fat level, which is slightly higher, as the coconut naturally has lauric acid, which is a fatty acid.
🌱Pea Milk
Different from other commercial plant milks.
Very high in protein and tastes very similar to cow milk, if the flavour is what you are looking for.
There are many more plant milks out there to try, such as hemp, hazelnut, cashew, and even potato🤩🤩
So what are you waiting for?! We hope you enjoy making lots of different types of plant milk with Milky Plant🌱🥛
