Buy the racing modification from gt auto , and buy all that stuffs which increases your HP and max out your transmission settings from tuning menu after 2 laps or so you can get in first place but to be in first you will have to struggle a little bit .never make your opponents pass you ,always try to block there way and most important while cornering don't use breaks and always make turns from inside because while the opponents comes to corners they break a little which is obviously a boost for you.AND ALWAYS KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR.
