Thumbs up for the dustmen
I read Stuart Humberstone’s Face book article about us not recognising the binmen and I wanted to do something to help. I was on my” permitted walk”, and I wondered how I could say thank you to the dustmen for doing such a vital job in these troubled times. I looked up, and there was a bin wagon (used to be called a dustcart) coming towards me. I automatically put my thumb up to say, “Thank you” and as I did so, I thought “There’s my answer, I’ll write a song called “Thumbs up for the dustmen” so here it is. I’m also grateful to the binman who let me take his photo for the video.
