[Stream] Doc Louis's Punch-Out!! -- Cooling Off
I usually would've done this sort of thing first, but I honestly forgot to try... and then when I got to this point, I wasn't even really sure if it'd kick in while the focus is on the menu or if I had to go back to the title screen... fortunately nothing was out of reach and we are able to see how Mac and Doc and their wide-angle cameraman work out when there's nobody interfering behind the scenes.
And that's it! There's literally nothing else to be said for this game, because that's everything I can think of that it has to offer for a cursory overview. If you need something more advanced like all the Star Punch opportunities... and make no mistake, I know they're there, as they're the way you get to beat Doc without depriving him of his precious chocolate bars, but then you don't get the stunning portraiture of Doc himself as your Sparring cleared indicator. (It's perhaps worth noting that Doc's face serves to overrides a mere trophy in that regard.)
It's not like the game will distinguish between the types of punches you use to bring Doc down, it'll just immediately cut to the intercepted gut jab to a forced "Nice one!" before throwing himself back onto the ropes. And since Doc has only one life bar before KO and no real knockdowns, there aren't any extra-tricky Star Punch opportunities to bring him down instantly, since obviously that means he can't afford to play around with such shenanigans as other fighters might.
Oh well, it was fun! More fun than I honestly thought it might be for just a simple winding down (yeah, right... that obviously wasn't considered particularly thoroughly) exercise for the stream that it followed.
Since I've basically forgotten... well, everything about the full game, I might have reason to revisit it one of these days and I wouldn't mind sharing that with an audience if said audience could be troubled not to mind my obvious fist-delivered learning deficiency. It's obviously not the most exciting method for demonstrating the game to others, but it is definitely the most honest fashion in which game is meant to be played... if I do say so myself, anyway.
