In this video we explore Fatty liver disease, some of the common symptoms that we see in this condition and explain what you need to do to reduce your risk of this condition.
We talk about the following causes:

Dull or aching pain, often on the top right of the stomach due to liver inflammation irritating nerves in the area.

Jaundice: Yellowing of skin and eyes due to liver's struggle to process bilirubin, a compound causing its accumulation in the bloodstream.

Extreme fatigue: Liver's inability to detoxify properly, leading to toxin buildup like ammonia, affecting the central nervous system.

Generalized body weakness: Result of toxins accumulating in the bloodstream.

Weight loss: Liver's role in nutrient storage, digestion, and hormone regulation, affected by liver disease.

Easy bruising: Reduced platelet production by the liver due to severe fatty liver disease.

Presence of excess fluid: Leg or ankle swelling (pitting edema) and abdominal fluid buildup (ascites) due to liver dysfunction.

Itching: Buildup of toxins in the skin due to impaired liver detoxification.

No symptoms: Most with fatty liver disease show no symptoms, especially in early stages, though it progresses to end-stage liver disease in some cases.

Lifestyle changes can mitigate risk: Weight loss through healthier diet and exercise, moderate alcohol intake, and management of conditions like diabetes.
