Scientists from the SETI Institute teamed up with whale researchers to chat with a humpback whale named Twain. The conversation went on for 20 minutes and it's believed to be the first time humans have communicated with a humpback whale in their own language. Humpback whales are pretty smart and they use tools like nets made of bubbles to catch fish. They also sing songs and communicate with each other using social calls. So it's no surprise that they were able to hold a conversation with the scientists.
