In this video, you will find knowledge of Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Micrologix 1200 Communication Configuration Setting.
Micrologix 1200 (Cat. 1762-L24/40 AWAR/BWAR/BXBR Series) PLCs have an additional RS232 Port called Programmer/HMI Port located on the left side of the controller.
The Primary Port (Channel 0) is located on front side of the controller.
Primary Port and Programmer/HMI Ports both are configured by default and this configuration can’t be changed by the user.
In addition to the default communication configuration, Primary Port (Channel 0) may be configured separately and called “User-Defined Communication Configuration”.
Default Communication Configuration and User-Defined Communication of Primary Port (Channel 0) may be switched back and forth by “Communication Toggle Push Button” located on the front side of the controller.
The function of "Communication Toggle Push Button" is demonstrated in this video.
