I've been wanting to make a little retro arcade machine for the longest time, and I'm finally getting around to it. I found out it's a much more involved process than I had originally thought, so I decided top make a multi-part series of videos explaining each part of the process. Stay tuned.
This part is simply me installing my joystick and buttons into a piece of scrap wood for two reasons. One, to make sure it all worked before I build a cabinet for it. And two was to make sure I liked the configuration of the buttons before making anything permanent.
It all went smooth except for one tiny little hiccup. The connection between the joystick and the little circuit board needs to be hooked up with the little silver "fingers" facing out. Good to know.
Thanks for watching and have a happy new year.
