Yarn: Medium weight yarn #4
Hook: 3.50mm
Slip knot and chain 11
Round 1: 3 dc into 3rd chain from hook, 7 dc, 6 dc into next chain, 7 dc, 3 dc into next chain. Slip sts (26 sts)
Round 2: chain 1, 2 hdc into next 3 sts, 5 hdc, 1 dc, 2 dc into next 8 sts, 1 dc, 2 dc, 5 hdc into next 3 sts. Slip sts (40 sts)
Round 3: chain 1, 40 dc. Crochet into back loop only. Slip sts
Round 4: chain 1, 40 hdc. slip sts
** slip sts black yarn along round 4
Making the toe top

Place sts marker at middle (back/heel), count 13 sts from both left and right from the sts marker. You should have 14 sts for the front part.
