Conductors Tijn Wybenga and Martin Fondse - New Generation
During his time studying piano at the Conservatory of Amsterdam Tijn injures his wrist. He decides to focus entirely on composing and conducting. Since his graduation he has developed his skills at a remarkable pace. His ambitions are great and his head is full of plans and original ideas. At 23 years old Tijn formed his dream orchestra AM.OK. Through the BIMHUIS Production house and with the guidance of Martin Fondse he keeps on creating with his musicians. With his energy and creative brain, Tijn lifts the playing of his musicians to a higher level. He is on a mission to capture the sound of Amsterdam. Directed by Lex Coppoolse.
New Generation is a series of portraits of young jazz musicians in The Netherlands. They are ready to take over from the generation of musicians that came before them, but before that happens they hang out and play together.
