Downside of Exploring Non-Tourist Places.

On my journey riding through all of Thailand, I find myself in this situation quite often! Maybe more often than you actually think! On social media, we tend to always post the beautiful and amazing stuff, but this is also a BIG part of being an adventurer! And I love to go out and seek attractions and places that the majority of tourists have never been to! So this is the part I gotta love as well! 🥳

In this case, I went off the beaten track in the local province of Sa Kaeo where I wanted to explore some caves! First up, the place was almost abandoned, the only reason I'm saying "almost" and not completely is because there was one woman at the start of the "attraction".

Besides that, you are completely alone, and I spent almost 2 hours at the place, navigating around with almost no signs of which direction to walk in. When I finally made it to the cave and was about to go down, I saw the stairs leading down there and thought, "Alright, this is not worth it." Because if we get stuck down here, we have no one around us, and the reward is not worth the risk ❌

The place of this off-the-beaten-track attraction is named: Tham Phet Pho Thong. For most tourists, this is probably never a place you would go to as it's in rural Thailand, but if you happen to be around, I don't recommend hiking to these caves!🙏
