What happened in 2022:
In Spring 2022:
This Boxwood has been in my yard for more than 20 years. It is now too big for my small yard. Its bulk is too "heavy".
A few goals for pruning:
1. Light & airy feel
2. Able to see the structure inside
3. Cloud floats and are separated from each others.
While I think this may be am impossible task given how fast Boxwood grow, I am giving it a try. Worst case scenario is it grows back to be a globe shape plant.
In August, did two more prunes to remove some branches. (I thought I was done for the year!)The "clouds" or "boxwood balls" are too close and bulky once the growth set in after the spring pruning.
