Replacing the top speaker on a Sony Xperia XZ | The method is the same as replacing the top speaker on an Xperia XZ1. The difficulty isn't replacing the speaker unit, but removing the screen from the body. A small mistake, whether due to rushing or getting emotional, can be fatal. The screen could crack, or the flexible cable could become damaged. In dee-nesia's experience with this Xperia XZ, the screen had a black spot.
This could be because I pressed too hard or because glue had gotten into the screen.
Thankfully, the speaker is working normally again.
Note:
Make sure to buy the top speaker unit complete with its rubber seal.
Just in case the unit breaks and the seal falls off when you remove it.
Some marketplaces sell it complete, while others sell it without the seal. If you're unsure, it's best to ask the seller first.
