Evolution of Computer Viruses (Part 2)
This video, the second in a four-part series, continues to explore the early evolution of traditional computer viruses (sometimes referred to as "file infectors" or "parasitic infectors"). To help make virus detection more difficult, virus writers began employing techniques like encryption and polymorphism. With these techniques in place, we began to see a co-evolution between the techniques used to develop computer viruses and the techniques anti-virus and anti-malware vendors used to identify them.
