Apple TV Remote Not Waking Device AND OUR FIX
Our Apple TV remote suddenly stopped waking the Apple TV. We fixed this by restarting out TV with another remote (our iOS device), but if that is not an option you should try unplugging for 30 seconds for it to reset.
