1998 Dodge Avenger
Chrysler replaced the Dodge Daytona with the (Mitsubishi Galant-based) Dodge Avenger sport coupe in 1995, a decision that proved to be a smart move for Chrysler. By squeezing in a little more interior space and offering a five speed manual transmission, Dodge made the Avenger comfy and fun to drive. Although some reviews say the engine could have been more powerful, the semi-sportiness and the low cost made the Avenger a tempting choice in 1998.
