ADV Films was a home publishing company based in Texas that specalises in the dubbing and release of animes. Their most popular releases include Neon Genesis Evangelion, Burn Up Excess and Noir. In 2008, the company folded and transferred 30 of their licensed animes over to FUNimation. On September 1, 2009, ADV announced it was selling off its assets, including intellectual properties, to several companies. As a result, they are now known as Section23 Films, which specalises in anime and Japanese films.
