Protein skimmer Not needed

My protein skimmer pump burnt out last week. It took seven days to get a new one And when it finally came I realised the pump had a female hose attachment but my hose attachment was male. So I needed to order another attachment this took another four days to come.
But during this waiting time my corals began to improve in colourThey Became Very vibrant started to grow a lot faster this was a massive transformation my car had been growing rather slow prior to this event.
I then discovered I don’t really need a protein skimmer most of my corals prefer a dirty a tank insane dirty thanks I mean a tank with more nitrates And more phosphates.
So I’ve now decided the protein skimmer will not be put back on the aquarium I will keep hold of it into such time I need it 😊👍🏻💞
Disclaimer:
I’m not saying a protein skimmer is not needed at all but it’s definitely not needed for my purposes at this present time so don’t decide to just switch off your protein skimmer.
