“It KEEPS Happening!” BBC ‘Let Down’ Over Scandals Involving High-Profile Talent
Talk’s Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by former BBC executive and host of the Beeb Watch podcast, Roger Bolton, to discuss BBC director-general Tim Davie’s email to staff.
Mr Davie said the broadcaster has been “let down” by several controversies which have rocked the corporation in recent months and involved high-profile presenters and TV shows.
He said the BBC had been put in the “spotlight” following scandals which include disgraced presenter Huw Edwards pleading guilty to making indecent images of children, allegations around the treatment of contestants on Strictly Come Dancing and the sacking of presenter Jermaine Jenas after he admitted sending inappropriate messages to female colleagues.
