We setup and install a new Apple TV 4k 2nd generation with thread to be our new homekit hub. The homekit hub is an essential center piece to setting up your apple smart home. We plugged ours directly into our gigabit ethernet switch to ensure we have the lowest possible latency and best streaming speeds we can get! We use the Home App to see how a HomeKit Hub is set and to test out the speed of our thread network. We also use the Eve App and a thread based eve energy to see more info on how our HomeKit hub looks on our thread network.
