About this video:-

In 1917, the Bhils and Garasis together wrote a letter to the Maharana against the oppressive policies and forced labor. Seeing that this did not yield any results, the Bhils, inspired by the Bijolia peasant movement, again complained to the Maharana in 1921. When all these non-violent efforts yielded no results, the Bhils of the Khalsa region of Bhomat refused to pay the dues and pay the forced labor.

In 1921, Motilal Tejawat led this movement. This movement is considered a symbol of political awakening among the tribes. This movement spread beyond the Bhomat region to the states of Sirohi and Gujarat.

The area of this movement was Bhomat, hence it is also called the 'Bhil Movement of Bhomat'.

This non-violent movement began in Phalasian village.

On the advice of Mahatma Gandhi, Tejawat surrendered in 1929.
