Depression kills...
Depression a is a mental illness that not enough people know about or understand. And even if they do, they most likely won't know how to deal with or help a loved one who is suffering from it.
First step to helping someone with depression is to do some research and learn about the nature of the illness. Then, be a compassionate listener - don't judge or force them any advice. And, be there for them - no need to be 24/7, but help them feel assured that you'll be available for them whenever they call out for you.
This song was written from personal experiences of one who suffers from depression in hope for people to understand more about it, and in tribute to all musicians who have lost their lives to the illness - including Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington who recently passed away...
