All New Mazda CX-50 2022
The virtual world premiere of the first-ever Mazda CX-50 was held today at Mazda North American Operations. The Mazda CX-50 is an entirely new model that will be produced in the new Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTM) factory in Huntsville, Alabama, beginning in January 2022.
"This new Mazda vehicle was designed specifically for consumers in North America, to complement their active and outdoor lives," stated Jeff Guyton, President and CEO of Mazda North American Operations. "The CX-50 enables people to immerse themselves in nature while maintaining Mazda's luxury design and great on-road performance."
At launch, Mazda's economical Skyactiv-G 2.5 naturally aspirated engine or Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo engine will be offered, both combined with a snappy six-speed automated gearbox. The CX-50 will be available with electric powertrains in the next years, including a classic hybrid variant. More details about our electrified vehicles will be released at a later time.
