This is an unusual post-modern numismatic object. A $1, 6 gram silver coin struck to look like a Coca-Cola bottle cap. This piece reveals itself to be a coin when you turn it over. Here you see the Fiji coat of arms, the denomination, and the coin's weight and fineness.
25,000 of these were struck. They were sold in the United States through GovMint and ModernCoinMart, and possibly others. This initial release was so popular that it led to the creation of a series of bottle cap coins featuring Coca Cola brands Fanta, Diet Coke, and Sprite.
A 2020 Stack’s Bowers auction had a PR70DCAM example sell for $264. Examples in original packaging sell on eBay for about $60. The breakdown between 69 and 70 is about 50/50 based on certified population data. Is it worth it to pay the premium. I don’t think so. You are already paying a 10x premium on the silver in its raw form.
The Coca-Cola cap is cool and iconic. But it’s no Royal Crown Premium Draft.
