MACRAME | Troubleshooting double half hitch knots
Common mistakes when tying double half hitch knots in macrame:
1. Uneven tension
—unfortunately practice will solve this over time. Hang in there!
2. Angle at which you hold your filler cord
—when tying directly beneath a previous row, angle your filler cord slightly upwards to get as close as possible to your previous row
—watch the angle at which you hold your working cords! This is the most common problem that is often overlooked. Always angle your working cords downwards and slightly to the left or right depending on which direction you are going.
3. Improperly tying your knot
—yes it can get confusing when switching directions. Double check your method if you believe your technique is correct
4. Not enough practice
