Cast adrift into a COVID Sargasso Sea, the experts stayed studiously silent about how we teachers could do what we do best, in person, in concrete block classrooms, but now online. For two years. Like Luddites smashing looms, I despaired of a Pepsi or Coke conundrum: punching my well-crafted ephemera, crammed into dusty manila folders in rusty cabinets, to fit Google Classroom’s square pegs or Microsoft Teams’ round holes. Many sleepless nights were logged.
This presentation is about how WordPress saved me from abandoning my pursuit of teaching the world, when it all switched up in March 2020:
