MIT Vertical Chip and Saw Band System
This Chip and Saw Band System with Vertical Bands allows a simple low labor option to cut cants and boards! Rollers and hold-downs hold the logs in place as it chips off the slabs into a two sided Cant that runs through the Vertical Band System to cut off two boards. The cant then runarounds to cut the cant into a four sided cant and get two additional boards.
