Communication Engineering - Types of Noise in Communication
This video lecture is about the Types of Noise in Communication. Some examples of noise and Effects of noise have been discussed. Classification of Noise is done in two broad categories:
(1) External Noise
(2) Internal Noise
Types of External Noise are:
(1) Atmospheric noise (due to irregularities in the atmosphere).
(2) Extra-terrestrial noise, such as solar noise and cosmic noise.
(3) Industrial noise
Types of Internal Noise are:
(1) Thermal Noise (Johnson noise or white noise)
(2) Shot Noise
(3) Partition Noise
(4) Flicker Noise (low-frequency noise)
(5) Transit Time Noise (high-frequency noise)
