By adjusting the privilege level, you can make this command available at a lower level (such as level 7), empowering your team while maintaining control.
*Password Management*
When creating passwords, keep the following in mind:
If you configure a new password, it might initially appear as "0". However, when pasting a configuration, the password may not appear as all zeros.
If you want to store passwords in plain text, use the "5" or "7" parameters. These numbers refer to how the password is stored: as plain text (0) or encrypted text (5 or 7).
*Password Security*
To secure passwords, consider the following:
**Type 7 Passwords**: These passwords are encrypted using a simple XOR operation with other characters. While this provides basic confidentiality, it is not highly secure as the original password can be easily decoded.
**Type 5 Passwords**: Unlike Type 7, Type 5 passwords offer stronger encryption. The ‘enable’ password command only supports Type 7, which is not very secure, so it’s often better to disable this feature in favor of more secure options.
