West Dover is a coastal fishing village located 30 minutes from Halifax. It is right next door to Indian Harbour, Peggy's Cove, East Dover, McGrath's Cove, and Big Lake. West Dover has a population of about 200 full-time residents. There are extensive lakes and hiking trails that stretch out into the distance in just about every direction via the West Dover Barrens.
