Dynamic Flex cast before and after
Ariana started the MTF Program when she was 5 months old. Her parents had just found out that she had suffered a Right MCA stroke that affected half of her brain. When we first saw her she was also been treated for infantile spasms.
Ariana will be 3 years old in October, and has done 5 rounds of dynamic flex cast to help align her left foot and improve her gait. She was first casted for 4 days when she was 10 months old and had already started to put weight on her feet. Thanks to the dynamic flex cast treatment, Ariana's foot continues to develop in the right direction and won't need to go through the SMO/AFO route.
