The Volkswagen Group in Formula 1 | A History
Audi and Porsche recently announced that they were having serious discussions about entering Formula 1 in 2026, most likely as engine supplies. Of course, these two brands are part of the Volkswagen Group, one of the largest automotive groups in the world. However, a couple of the Volkswagen Group's current members have participated in Formula 1 in the past. Lamborghini and Porsche have already had a presence on the F1 grid although with very varying degrees of success. Today we have a look back at the history of the Volkswagen Group in Formula 1.
