Map🗺️or Compass🧭? What should you use to navigate career success?

It depends on how clear your ideal career path might look in your company or industry. Is there a clear path with good signage and support and systems for you to map out a turn-by-turn progression path? If so use a map 🗺️

Often when it comes to navigating career change it feels more like traversing the wild uncharted oceans or trailblazing through unexplored terrain then I’d suggest a compass 🧭 will serve you far better.

How do you tune into your "True North" and learn to let your internal compass direct you with clarity?

In this video, I talk about 3 key foundations:

1. Values - Your personal values are the core of power that moves your compass

2. Purpose - What kind of impact do you want to have? Individual and instant, Community level and more incremental or societal and strategic long-term changes?

3. Mission - What problems are you uniquely positioned to be able to solve? When you navigate your career in 'service of the world' you find more satisfaction and ultimate joy in your work.
