Judgement Day (studio recording 2010)
Judgement Day is one of my favourite self penned compositions. I had the idea for the 1st half of the song way back in 2001 an had a completely different melody for it. But i never recorded a decent version of it . It wasn't until early 2010 that I decided to use these old words when i was jamming round an got a melody an couldnt think of any words so i looked thru some old note books an saw the old lyrics. Its kinda a song about an athiest answering the door to a end of the world preaching Johovas Witness an having a converstaion with them. The second half of the song is where the whole thing changes an it becomes almost religious an has some preaching about right now . doing the right thing, serving, etc etc .... I must give some credit to the british author,film maker, martial arts teacher, self help guru who is GEOFF THOMPSON .. check out his website geoffthompson.com .. the vibe of the last half of the song was inspired by one of his articles an podcasts about a trail of dust an how what you do in between is the key .. He writes inspirational articles an uploads them to his website an if you befriend him on facebook then you will recieve the articles as messages .. a wonderful free service.. He also has books an dvds available for very reasonable prices .. Judgement Day is one of my biggist songs in terms of subject matter . cos it tackles the big issues of Life an Death .
