Heeeeyyy, this is a brief evolution/comparison of cows in Sims 3 farm fresh folk set and Sims 4 cottage living, I know there are instances of cows in the other games, like the cow mascot in Sims 2 and whatnot, but this is about animals. I thought this was gonna be an "animals" comparison but I decided to start from cows and I decided I didn't want to cut stuff for the sake of showing as many animals as I could, so each animal is getting a video, at least the large ones, I think rodents could fit into one since they're all quite similar in mechanics.
Anyways, cows, they're lovely animals and I'm glad Maxis finally listened to the much awaited farm pack and decided to include them there, people say horses should've been there as well but I'm not sure how they would've handled them, as long as we don't get a horse game pack I'm good for now.
What did you think of how the handled the pack as a whole and the cows?
My opinion?
Sims 3 is waaaay behind this time, the cow was supposed to be premium content and it's quite shallow, I understand store content was not their priority but they made entire cities for packs so I don't get why they couldn't put more effort into an animal, what I like about this is the tic tac hoof game and the way you can tip cows (yes, I'm evil) but that's about it for me.
Sims 4 felt comfortable to not make them as fleshed out as horses cause Sims 3 didn't do a great job, that's my theory anyways, but I'm glad they're here and that they included so many more features, clothing, cute interactions, actually taking care of them, it's all improvement upon improvement from the previous version so I'm not mad at it, I just think they could've done more since this is an expansion, is that just me?
So yeah, I called this evolution for a reason, it's the same but better. But that's just my opinion, let me know what you think and I'll see you on the next one, thank you for reading!
